Oil selection basically comes down to personal preference, but I went with the Amsoil product. All tests and reviews that I have read seem to put the Amsoil on top. Running a little bit over (half a quart or so) is fine and some stunters do that so they keep the oil pickup tube filled but if overfill it too much, the oil gets beaten by the crankshaft and aerates it, making it ineffective as oil.
